Hofstra University’s Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) honored Jeannine Maynard for her public dialogue contributions.

Jeannine Maynard is a community leader involved with the Greater Uniondale  Area Action Coalition and Uniondale Community Land Trust.

The Michael D’Innocenzo Award was created to honor Hofstra’s longest-serving faculty member and CCE  co-founder.

Since 2007, CCE has organized  hundreds of events focused on nonviolence, social justice,  sustainability, and more.

CCE supports positive changes on  Long Island through community partnerships.

Students involved with CCE learn  conflict resolution, social  transformation, and leadership skills.

CCE fellows work closely with local community partners in a structured way.

CCE celebrated Hofstra graduating seniors who served as fellows.

Two students received endowed scholarships in honor of Michael D’Innocenzo and James C. Metzger.

CCE awards peace fellowships to  support student involvement in community programs.
