Actress Susan Buckner, known for  playing Patty Simcox in 'Grease,'  has passed away at 72.

Susan Buckner's daughter, Samantha Mansfield, describes her as magical and her best friend.

Born in Seattle in 1952, Buckner won Miss Washington in 1971 and competed in Miss America.

Buckner was part of The Golddiggers,  an all-female group on The Dean Martin Show.

She appeared on various TV shows, including Sonny and Cher and The Brady Bunch Variety Hour.

Susan Buckner's role as Patty Simcox in 'Grease' became iconic, earning her widespread recognition.

Despite acting in the 1980s, 'Grease' remained Buckner's most memorable role.

Later in life, Buckner directed children's theater and taught dance in Florida.
